Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has turned musical to promote awareness about shares and the stock market. Speaking during the launch ceremony of "Share Dohori' -a cassette produced to create investor awareness -Nepse general manager Rewat Bahadur Karki Nepse was trying to smoothen the share certificate transfer process.
"Nepse has directed the concern authorities to quicken the process of share certificate transfer as there are complaints that companies tend to delay the process,'' he said adding that investors had lodged formal complaints in this regard.
'' The frontline regulators is also working to simplify the process of central collection and Central Depository System(CDS) that is a key insettlment ,''he added.
Anil Shah, Chief operating officer (CEO) of Nabil Bank, advised investors not to invest at random."Check the company's profile ,promoters background and performance before investing in share,'' he suggested.
Securities Research Center and Services(SRCS) Pvt Ltd released Share Dohori, the first musical album on stocks and the security market. The 45-minute album has songs penned by Baburam Dahal and Rabindra Bhattarai, lyrics by Surya Prasad Regmi and vocals by Raju Pariyar and Surya Prasad Regmi.Share Dohori is a first of its kind of music that is aimed at creating awareness among rural folks about stock market and related aspects.
